Every Muslim woman must empower and teach herself these things:
- No one has authority over you but Allah. You have duties and obligations towards specific niches that exist in your life, but you surrender to no one but Allah.
- find a man that you feel is right for you and don’t settle for anything less. A wise person once told me to never marry for the sake of marriage, and I am passing on these wise words onto you. Be engaged in Islamic partnership with a man who will treat you right, motivate you to be who you wish to be, and has faith in Allah.
- be proud of yourself and your femininity. Do not apologize for who you are and how Allah created you, and the power of choice Allah has bestowed on you as well.
- empower your intellect. Choose a subject that you love and go for it. Do what you must to rise above judments and stereotypical behavior, and attend school. You have the school of the mind, where you potentially teach yourself everything you want to know, or the typical school. Either way, find your comfort zone and LEARN.
And most importantly, never forget who Allah is!
